SUMMARY:Sunday ride - Lismore Forest - 9.30am
DESCRIPTION:This Sunday 8 June\, as rescheduled after last week’s motocross event\, is open for members to ride at any time on the gravel roads within the forest. \nMembers are welcome to join an ebike morning circuitous ride.  We will be mainly sticking to the main gravel roads\, starting and ending on SH4 but will also have a peek at one or two of the recent motocross enduro event tracks.     \nMeet – Corner SH4 and Old Parapara Rd (past the white bridge) on Sunday 8 June at 9.30am.  Big hills\, moderately steep in sections. \nMost of the extensive forest road system in Lismore is great for exploring.  Forest360 is keen that we utilize the forest roads and tracks more fully for recreational purposes. An ideal area for fit riders\, gravel and ebikes.

DESCRIPTION:The new Manawatu Tararua Cycleway officially opened Wednesday 11 June 2025 and is a 11.5km trip to Woodville making for a 23Km return trip. Both Analogue and ebikes are suitable but a bit of fitness is required as the gradient on the western side is around 10% and a mere 8.5% on he eastern side. Bring warm clothing in case an easterly wind develops.

SUMMARY:MMBC Winter series race 2 – Target reserve Foxton
DESCRIPTION:The Central Bicycle Studio Winter Series is back for 2025\, with the first race of the series at Whanganui’s Araheke Trails on Sunday 11 May. We have four rounds planned for the all-weather trails at Whanganui’s Araheke Trails and Foxton MTB trails @ Tarfet reserve. Winter Series events have something for everyone\, from little nippers on balance bikes through to seasoned campaigners. While we time all riders and there’s competition for the top spots\, the emphasis is on having fun and challenging yourself. We welcome E-bikes to all events. \nTo help us allocate numbers and get the race database organised before the first race\, we encourage club members (or members of other MTBNZ-affiliated clubs) to enter for the series online before the first race. As another incentive to enter online\, you will get entry for the four-race series for the price of 2.5 individual rounds. You can also enter on the day (Cash Only). \nRound 1 (11 May) and Round 3 (13 July) are being held in Pauri opposite the prison off Pauri Domain Rd. \nRound 2 (15 June) and Round 4 (10 Aug) in Foxton. \nCost is $10/race and $15/family for members of our club. Online is $25 for the series and $50/family. \nRegistration for U13 is 11am-12.15pm\, 12.30pm start. \nRegistration for U15+ is 11.30am-1.15pm\, 1.30pm start. \nThe short course is about 3.5km and the long course is about 4km.
