SUMMARY:MMBC Winter series race 1 - Araheke MTB Park (Pauri ) - Pauri Domain Rd opposite prison
DESCRIPTION:The Central Bicycle Studio Winter Series is back for 2025\, with the first race of the series at Whanganui’s Araheke Trails on Sunday 11 May. We have four rounds planned for the all-weather trails at Whanganui’s Araheke Trails and Foxton MTB trails @ Tarfet reserve. Winter Series events have something for everyone\, from little nippers on balance bikes through to seasoned campaigners. While we time all riders and there’s competition for the top spots\, the emphasis is on having fun and challenging yourself.  We welcome E-bikes to all events. \nTo help us allocate numbers and get the race database organised before the first race\, we encourage club members (or members of other MTBNZ-affiliated clubs) to enter for the series online before the first race. As another incentive to enter online\, you will get entry for the four-race series for the price of 2.5 individual rounds.  You can also enter on the day (Cash Only). \nRound 1 (11 May) and Round 3 (13 July) are being held in Pauri opposite the prison off Pauri Domain Rd. \nRound 2 (15 June)  and Round 4 (10 Aug) in Foxton. \nCost is $10/race and $15/family for members of our club.  Online is $25 for the series and $50/family. \nRegistration for U13 is 11am-12.15pm\, 12.30pm start. \nRegistration for U15+ is 11.30am-1.15pm\, 1.30pm start. \nThe short course is about 3.5km and the long course is about 4km. DESCRIPTION:A morning circuitous ride sticking to the main gravel roads in Lismore\, starting and ending on SH4\, with a short section of tarseal back to the vehicles. \nMeet – Corner SH4 and Old Parapara Rd (past the white bridge) on Sunday 8  December at 10am.  Big hills\, moderately steep in sections.  About 25km. \nMost of the extensive forest road system in Lismore is great for exploring.  Forest360 is keen that we utilize the forest roads and tracks more fully for recreational purposes.  \nAn ideal ride for fit riders\, gravel and ebikes.

DESCRIPTION:We will do the majority of our rides in Hyltons Pit for the summer season and any other rides will be advertised earlier in the week (usually if too wet in Hylton).  The club has a list of ‘leaders’ who when present on any ride would be prepared to lead that particular group.  Our rides will take about 1.5 hours in total with short stops.  An optional drink afterwards at Caroline’s is a convivial end to the evening!

DESCRIPTION:Frank Oskam will lead this scenic ride partly through the Oskam’s farm.   \nMeet at the X-Gate\, (500m past the Kaiwhaiki road turnoff on SH4)\, for a 10.00am start this Sunday 10 November. The gate will be open and members can park off road inside under the trees. \nThe ride starts there through the lower farm\, pops out onto the river road and up to Gentle Annie lookout.  At the top the route goes back onto a farm track beside the Whanganui River\, past the pyramid to “That Place” bike park.  Beginners could be picked up here or bikers could carry on along Kaiwhaiki Rd back to the cars for a 30km loop. \nThe more adventurous and ebikers could follow Frank on an alternative but a steeper way back to the cars from ‘That Place’. \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/f2TV88KFGULDeMvo6
