SUMMARY:Lismore Forest roads open for access on first Sunday of the month for club members
DESCRIPTION:Following on our discussion with Forest360\, the club will be going through a trial access period of being able to ride the roads in Lismore Forest on the first Sunday of each month. \nWe have to emphasise that some areas will be closed off at certain times due to harvesting etc. and it would be important to observe any closure signage and/or tape.  There is also no entry through Matatara Rd as that is private property. \n We would also like to point out that there could be other traffic (motorbikes/ quad bikes) on the gravel roads and to observe normal road rules.  The entrance gates will also be locked and bikes will have to be lifted/pushed around them.   Please also take a look at the no go zones sign as you enter the forest. \nWe also encourage members to fill in the online induction form for Forest 360. This will only need to be done once per person and not every time you enter the forest. \nhttps://forest360.tickbox.nz/register \nWe encourage members to initially go with somebody who knows the forest and we will endeavour to have more club rides in the forest in the future.  Mangaone Rd is the main through road in the forest and starts from the first entrance to the forest off SH4.  This joins up with Poronui Rd on the northern boundary of the forest and out again to SH4 which is a good 30km or so loop to start off with.

SUMMARY:Club family ride - Wiritoa/Pauri - Sunday 31 August - 1pm
DESCRIPTION:Hi all \n‘Family Rides’ are planned as a monthly club feature. Not just for families but also for any ‘getting started’ riders who want to learn their way around some local trails and maybe pick up some basic skills. \nThe rides will be tailored for abilities and led by some more experienced club riders who are just there to help out. You’ll never be far from the car park so can opt out at any time. \nThe next ride is scheduled for 1.00pm this Sunday 31 August around the Pauri and Wiritoa tracks at Araheke MTB park. Meet at Lake Wiritoa car park at 1pm. \nThe tracks are all family friendly and if the group rides them all\, it is about 10km. Come along and ride as much or as little as you like with plenty of stops along the way for a chat. \nCheers. \nMalcolm\, Ken and the Team
